Profile of

                                                           Lee Woodward

Hollow,  my name is Lee Woodward and this is the very first time I have ever put pen to paper, in order to compile any sort of information on my fishing exploits. You might recognize the surname as I am Ross Woodward's big brother and son of Mr. Marco Polo who is more commonly known to most carp anglers as "Big Ron".

You may have read my brothers profile on here already,  he has put pen to paper or fingers to the key board, moor times than me and has also had several other articles published in the young carper section of ( carp fisher ), on various subjects to do with fishing.

As I obviously come from a family that is obsessed in the pursuit of fish, I thought it was about time that I highlighted the fact,  that not only can my brother and my dad play and land big fish, but I can also hold my own with them, in fact in the Woodward household,  I am actually in second place overall, when it comes to Personal best's and if I have my way before to long I hope to be in first place, as you can see from the comments, there is a bit of health rivalry in the Woodward family.

Before I carry on and give you a few statistics about my capture's, can I first quote from my brothers profile article ( Because of my dad, I suppose I have been spoiled a bit when it comes to fishing. There can't be many young anglers who have had the chance to catch carp to 20, 30 and 40 pounds and cats over the 100 lb barrier ). Well that statement is defiantly true for me as well, I to also realize how lucky I have been to be the son of a fishing crazed farther, especially when I look around at some of my friends, who are still chasing their first 20 lb carp and have never even seen a catfish. Because of my privileged position, I am now looking at trying to catch 50 lb+ carp and have already had cats to 155.00 lbs ( 1 lb bigger than my dads best..He He ).

It has been said, that the Woodward family has the luck of the Irish, when it comes to fishing, but we are all brummy's ??, although it must be said, we are very lucky when it comes to angling, for example I have now won on the raffle, at seven Carp society regional meetings in succession and on more than one of these occasion's, it has been as many as three different prizes, in fact Baz ( Barry Griffiths ) our regional organizer, now asks me in advance what I would like to win on the raffle, before he even stats to draw the tickets!!.

As for my Dad he won a free tip to Spain, Catfishing and if that wasn't lucky enough, he then managed to catch a 100+ albino catfish on that free trip, now that is what you call a lucky angler.

Well let's get on to the statistics which puts me in second place ( above my brother, Ha! Ha! ), here they are :-

             PB.Mirror : PB.Common : PB.Leather : PB.Fully scaled : PBLinear : PB.Catfish

Dad  :  53.08 lbs    43.12 lbs    48.00 lbs     25.00 lbs        46.00 lbs  154.00 lbs

Lee   :  48.00 lbs    41.00 lbs    34.00 lbs     24.00 lbs        23.00 lbs  155.00 lbs

Ross :  43.08 lbs    33.00 lbs    31.00 lbs     22.00 lbs        17.00 lbs   120.00 lbs

As you can see from the above, I am in second place at the moment, but I hope to change this very soon, who knows on our next trip abroad,  Ross or me might catch a sixty pound carp or a 200.00lb catfish and that would certainly put pressure on the old man, I keep telling him is to Old and past it, now he has got to his age, but I think he will still be after his 40 + fully scaled carp, when he is drawing his pension, hopefully me or Ross will be there netting it for him.

Well that's it for now I have included, pictures of two of my personal bests for you to drool over and I hope you have enjoyed reading my first attempt at an article, I hope it will lead to many more.

        Keep catching them

Lee Woodward ( 19 years of age, good-looking son of Big Ron & Bigger fish catcher than brother Ross )
